Microsoft does a great job of offering regular webcasts to help educate you on various products. Eileen Brown has a list of Windows Management Webcasts for the month of February over on her weblog. She also has a link to the SMS 2003 Desired Configuration Monitoring guides.
The idea behind DCM is to create a desired configuration you want for a particular server and then monitor the server to ensure it stays that way. This could be a big help if you currently use SMS 2003 and have multiple servers you need to maintain.
