Study Reveals Where IT and Politics Converge

The study of 600 industry professionals conducted in August and September also reveals that six of ten IT workers believe that users should be responsible for protecting their own online privacy, while only twelve percent said the government should protect a person's privacy online.
Intellectual property was one are where a significant number of IT professionals believed would benefit from increased government involvement. The survey found that more highly educated IT professionals were less likely to support government IP regulation. Nearly half of all respondents believed that the government should also provide educational tax credits for IT-related education, training and certification.
