Popularity of Macintoshes Rising
According to statistics compiled by NetApplications, the popularity of Macintoshes is on the rise, jumping to nearly 7 percent, a 40 percent increase from a year ago. About half of Macintosh users still run the older Motorola based computers, while the other half use the newer Intel-based machines. The number of users of Apple's safari browserlinks is also increasing, to just over 5 percent, up from 3.5 percent a year ago. The rise is prompting some analysts to predict that the Macintosh market share may reach as high as 15 percent within five years.

Recent sales figures indicated that Apple computer sales were on the rise, substantially outpacing Microsoft Vista.
