Nortel has introduced a new business-grade wireless broadband solution that supports voice, video, unified messaging and other real-time applications. Unwired Enterprise promises to deliver pervasive, wireless connectivity to users, regardless of their location, by incorporating Nortel's 4G cellular technology into network routers, switches and other Unwired Enterprise devices. The Unwired Enterprise program also includes a major investment in enterprise-grade broadband wireless development and mobility-enhanced networking. Along with a line of enhanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices that feature embedded wireless support for voice, the Unwired Enterprise program promises to deliver network services at LAN speeds three to six times greater than what is available today. The platform also delivers Wi-Fi support and unified, single-platform network management.
