Microsoft To Release Vista Update Next Week

• improved performance when returning to the desktop from a screensaver, and when returning from sleep mode
* resolution of a bug that prevents some secure web pages from being displayed on IE
• resolution of a bug that prevents shared printers from being installed when they are connected to Windows XP or 2003 Servers, and User Access Control is disabled on the Vista client
* improved performance when copying or moving entire directories
The update corrects a number of compatibility issues, including:
• newer graphics cards compatibility
• video and printer driver
compatibility• improved display of graphics-dense video games
• improved network configuration reliability
• improvements to the Windows Calendar
• improved performance when entering or exiting sleep
The upgrade is the first major improvement for Vista since its release, and includes several more compatibility- and performance-related updates, and problem fixes.
