Microsoft Document Describes Expected Vista SP1 Features
According to a document released by Microsoft, the anticipated vista sp1links will contain more than 300 hotfixes. The list, which has been posted on Microsoft's Web site, is also downloadable. Microsoft cautions that the list on the Web site is not complete and that the company plans to add more patches and fixes to the release, which is expected in early 2008.

The patches will concentrate on correcting operational failures, improving performance, preventing data loss and including features that were omitted from Vista's primary release. Earlier, Microsoft had said that it did not plan to release a large set of fixes and would instead roll out fixes as they became available. Based on the document's description, however, Microsoft seems to have rethought that strategy.
