Limited Connectivity

Filed in archive Tools by paul on February 12, 2006

I've been on the road for the last week with limited connectivity and it makes it really hard to do some of the things I've taken for granted ever since I had DSL installed. Things like keeping up with blog posting and having access to all the files stored on my local machine. I even reverted to the paper and pencil route to take notes at some of the meetings I was attending.

Options abound to help with connectivity on the road like EvDOlinks or HSDPA. If you're an existing Sprint or Verizon customer you can get unlimited access time with speeds of betweek 400 - 700K for $59.99 a month. I pay about half that for my monthly DSL service but it only works from my house. I found a site called EVDO Info with lots of helpful information if you are considering EVDO.
