IT Worker Confidence Better Than Average
Filed in archive News by Eileen Peck on September 05, 2007

Although most IT workers believe they'll remain employed, the Hudson Employment Index for IT workers slipped from 112.7 to 105.1. The slip still leaves the IT index two full points higher than it was at this time in 2006. Across all employment sectors, confidence dropped from 105.1 to 99.2 in August.
IT workers are feeling more secure about their jobs than people in most other occupations, but they're less satisfied with their jobs. The monthly survey showed that 69 percent of workers expressed satisfaction with their current employment, compared to 72 percent of satisfied respondents in July.
Other elements measured by the firm show that IT workers lowered their own estimates of personal financial health. 54 percent rated their personal finances
as "Excellent" compared to 62 percent who gave the same rating in July. Similarly, 43 percent of IT workers in August indicated that their finances were improving, a 5 percent drop from July. Permalink: IT Worker Confidence Better Than Average
